Your settings
Settings is where you shape how Delighting shows up for you. You can adjust your daily verse, the look of the app, your privacy choices, and your account.
Finding your settings
Open Settings from the navigation when you are signed in. Inside, you will find a few sections: Daily Word, Display, Privacy, Profile, and Help & Support.
Each section has its own page. You can move between them from the menu, and your changes save as you make them.
Your daily verse
In the Daily Word section you choose whether to receive a verse each day. Turn it on or off, and the choice saves right away.
You can pick when it arrives. Choose one of the suggested times or set a time of your own. Your time zone is detected for you, so the verse comes at the right hour wherever you are.
You can also turn on browser notifications. When you do, your browser will ask permission, and then your daily verse can reach you as a notification. There is an option to receive your verse by email as well. You can switch this on now, and email delivery is something we are still building.
How the app looks
The Display section lets you make the app comfortable to read. Choose a Light, Dark, or System theme, set the text size from small to extra large, and decide how much motion you want.
These choices apply right away and stay set the next time you open the app. They live on the device you set them on, so each of your devices can look the way you like.
Your privacy
In the Privacy section you can opt out of helping improve Delighting and out of product analytics. These choices are saved on the device you are using.
We are honest about where this stands. The controls are here, and the deeper behind-the-scenes pieces that fully honor them are still being built. Signing out everywhere is also on the way.
Your account
The Account area is where you sign out, export your data, or delete your account. These are available when you are signed in.
Exporting gives you a single file with your conversations, messages, journal, and profile. Deleting walks you through exactly what is removed, then asks you to confirm in your own words before anything happens.
If you change your mind, you have thirty days. Sign back in within that window and your account is fully restored.
You can edit your profile too, including your display name, your tradition, and your birthday. A profile photo is something we are still working on.
